Conditions
Colingua Translations is a translation and interpreting company based in Brussels and Liège, Belgium. Our translators and conference interpreters respect the most demanding professional standards on the market.
The following conditions are made available on this website for information purposes only. The terms and conditions included in our quotes shall always prevail over the texts hereunder. However, the following texts may be applicable in case, for any reason whatsoever, our general and/or particular conditions were missing from our quotes.
Conference interpreting
The Parties
(1) The contracts shall always be passed between the Interpreter (Colingua) and the person or entity financially responsible for the Conference or event, referred to in the contract as the “Organiser”, as opposed to any other person who may be an intermediary, responsible for hiring personnel or in charge of taking technical measures linked to the Conference or the event.
The Interpreter’s general terms and conditions have precedence over those of the order maker. The order maker waives the right to enforce its own terms and conditions, unless expressly agreed otherwise. These general terms and conditions are governed by Belgian law, over and above any other. These general terms and conditions and the quote to which they are attached shall have contractual value once written confirmation of the order (in particular by e-mail) has been given by the customer. Simple confirmation of the order by e-mail is tantamount to making the order. The Interpreter shall acknowledge receipt of the confirmation (by e-mail) and shall confirm that he or she is able to provide the services.
Translation
In these general terms & conditions, Colingua translators will be referred to hereinafter as follows: the Translator.
1. The Translator’s general terms and conditions have precedence over those of the order maker. The order maker waives the right to enforce its own terms and conditions, unless expressly agreed otherwise.
2. Terms of delivery
The delivery deadline agreed in writing with the order maker shall take effect from the moment the Translator confirms the firm order for the translation and its feasibility within the deadline stipulated in the quote.
